Nikki Williams, R.N.

Hi, my name is Nikki and I have been an OR Nurse for 24years. I am originally from Scotland but worked for most of my career in London, obtaining my passion for Paediatrics at Great Ormond Street Hospital. BC Children’s Hospital brought me to Canada 8 years ago. I now work for a Medical Supplies Manufacturer as their Clinical Resource nurse traveling across the country educating and introducing medical supply solutions to operating rooms  to help save time money and efficiencies. My colleagues at Medline are as excited as I am whenever I am off to a mission and have really supported me through donations of money and supplies.

This is my 5 th Mission but my first to India and I am so excited to meet the team at Kaka-Ba Hospital to experience the wonderful Indian culture, food and stunning country . This is my first time as the OR lead and I am looking forward to work with such an experienced, dedicated and passionate team. I live for my trips with ORC and the missions leave me both exhilarated and exhausted at the end of each 12 hour day…….and I love it.

I love to travel although with using my vacation time for Medical Missions it doesn’t leave me many extra days but I always try to embrace the country that we are visiting and will be spending a few extra days exploring India after our Mission. I love to hike, mountain bike and ski and I also Volunteer as a disabled ski instructor with Vancouver Adaptive Snow sports.
