Dr. Kimit Rai and Rose Siu publish children’s book
Dr. Kimit Rai and Rose Siu have published a children book called “Helping Hands” that depicts Dr. Rai’s journey and features some of Operation Rainbow Canada’s missions and destinations. He hopes this book will inspire children in all ages to accomplish great things by helping others and by giving hope, commitment and compassion. Operation Rainbow Canada and COVID-19
As the world has changed with the Covid-19 pandemic, ORC’s global work has also been affected. This has not diminished our commitment to this work but the decision has been made to postpone all future missions until non-essential travel is deemed safe by the Government of Canada. ORC was able to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) to BC Children’s Hospital to supplement their supplies.
Many ORC volunteers are medical front line workers and continue in their dedication to help others. We remain 100% volunteer-based with no paid staff. All donations remain in trust until we can return to offer no cost cleft lip and palate and burn reconstruction surgery to children and young adults. We need to all stay strong and together we will get through this.
